Cavendish Square was one of the first of London’s
great Squares. There were many changes around the Square but the Square
itself had retained its fundamental character until the 1970’s when
there was the most significant alteration with the construction of an underground
car park with ramps and access roads, walls and railings. This proposal sets
out to identify ways in which the environment, use and enjoyment of the square
by the public and the local community can be enhanced.
